STRENGTHENING BONDS. motherhood and AIDS Angelita is 85 and her youngest son, 歧el Luis, is 47. They should be living their own lives separately but circumstances donԴ allow them to do so. 歧el has a cerebral atrophy caused by HIV. HeԳ got AIDS. And
Angelita (85) helps his son Ang歧el Luis (47) lay in bed. In the wall outside the room, the wedding portraits of Angelita's three other daughters and son and of some of her grandsons and grandaughters. The woman says that the rejection towards her and her sick son began when it was known in the family that Ang歧el Luis was a drug addict. However, six years ago, when they all were told that 歧el had AIDS, some members of the family closed the door to him and his mother. They have no contact at all.
