Luciana rests in the sun five days before the delivery on the roof of a neighbor's house in the favela she lives. In Brazilian favelas, the roof is considered an important place where people do their laundry, but also have a sun bath and celebrate special dates. As the area available for construction in favelas is very small, houses increase vertically and roofs have high commercial value. Rio de Janeiro, 06/10/2005.
