| EVE Photographers |
| More than merely a collection of emerging women photographers, EVE is, first of all, the result of a common aspiration: to mobilize each of its member’s photographic approach and interpretation of the world in order to provide an original and powerful series of work. Six photographers: Marizilda Cruppe, Agnes Dherbeys, Bénédicte Kurzen, Justyna Mielnikiewicz, Lourdes Segade and Newsha Tavakolian are based in six different geographical parts of the world. They all have a specific vision and individual centers of interest; but they also share an obvious passion and strong common convictions about how and why they document our world. Their common ground is based on professionalism, honesty, uncompromising self-investment, and concern for the issues they choose to explore. EVE emphasizes the diversity of the geographical base, interests and identities of all its members. EVE thus aims to bring out the best of these photographers through a stimulating and fruitful common experience. But above all, this collaboration is a significant tool for providing a different, yet cohesive interpretation of the world, in addition to offering persuasive and eloquent ways to apprehend and decode it. EVE's work has been shown in different forums such as Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Lianzhou Photo Festival (China), VISA pour l’Image (Perpignan), Angkor Photo Festival (Cambodia), Kiev’s Biennale of Photography (Ukraine), International Meeting of Photojournalism (Gijón, Spain), International Museum of Women www.imow.org, FNAC centers in Spain and published in magazines and newspapers from Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Georgia and China amongst others. © of the right image: Jerome Delay |
